Shrinking Palestine - An Architectual Challenge __ [1] [2] [3] [4]
WHO plans for energy, water & health infrastructure
Future
Palestine will have no own water resources and needs an own energy and health
system to be autonomous. New decentralized health care centers will be built
by WHO until
2013 in Qalqiliya, Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, Tarqumiya, Hebron and Yatta. A
special clinic for traumatized children (PTSD) will be opened after ending of
the occupation in 2012 in Ramallah, in cooperation with the Israel
Trauma Center for Victims of Terror and War (NATAL).
The US
Government is supporting 2 water pipelines from Lebanon
in the north and Gaza in the south (sea water desalting plants), because Palestine has already no access to the water of Jordan river. With the 10000
Solar Roofs Program (PSRP), starting in 2012, multiple local energy plants will
be built in the 13 separated territories using solar energy for positive climate
balance in Palestine.
